  I came to Jakera on a 12 week Travelling Classroom, but ended staying there for half a year. I remember that I immediately felt at home in the beautiful camp it was like arriving in paradise with flowers and fruits everywhere. Everybody in my new group were really nice, it was surprising how much we all had in common and the various activities/parties soon bonded us together. We had some AMAZING adventures and I think that the guides were really good at challenging us, both as group and as individuals. Everybody had a great time, whether you were into diving off waterfalls or “just” wanted to play with the native children. The teachers were really enthusiastic and the classes were both interesting and fun. And soon I was hanging out with the local fishermen on the beach and chitchatting with the girl in the little fruit stand. I also joined the volunteer program where we helped build new sport facilities for the local kids, and did environmental education at the school. It was really rewarding to give something back to the local community. I don’t think I’d ever learned so much and had so much fun in half a year. Thanks Jakera!!!!!
