KAYAKING FOR STUDENTS
Jakera lodge is our headquarters based alongside Playa Colorada beach in the heart of Mochima National Park and is a perfect location to set off and explore by kayak. We’ll teach you all the skills you’ll need to confidently paddle to beautiful pristine islands, some as close as just half an hour away. The islands, more than 30 scattered across the park, are all coral fringed offering excellent snorkeling and fishing opportunities and on the way we usually see dolphins. We combine a kayaking and camping trip with language school whilst practicing self-sufficiency skills.
Our Mochima adventure prepares you for an extraordinary journey through the Orinoco Delta (10-12 days) where you’ll be surrounded by exciting wildlife and be amongst the indigenous people of the Orinoco, the Warao, which literally translates ‘the people of the canoe’.
