THE GRAN SABANA / RORAIMA / THE LOST WORLD

The area known as La Gran Sabana is located in the South-eastern corner of Venezuela at the border with Brazil and Guyana. These mystical highlands reveal an abundance of waterfalls, natural springs and "Pemon" Indian settlements and the remains of when the continent was still attached to Africa, the tepuy’s of the ‘lost world’.

The highlight of a visit to this remarkable part of the world is the opportunity to climb the highest tepuy, Roraima.

Exploring the area by mountain bike is highly rewarding.
