BLUE ZONE IMMERSION
Description.
Our Most Recommended!!!
Embark on an enriching 8-week journey where you'll master Spanish, refine your surfing or yoga skills, engage in volunteering and contribute to turtle, animal and nature conservation. Immerse yourself in intensive Spanish lessons while dedicating time to meaningful projects, preserving ecosystems and improving local communities' quality of life. Guided explorations will take you into the beautiful hinterland of the Nicoya Peninsula, showcasing the area's rich biodiversity.
For two weeks we will explore the unparalleled beauty of Osa and The Corcovado National Park, learn about regenerative farming practices, produce organic foods, and engage in vital community and environmental awareness efforts, including turtle conservation. This is a one-of-a-kind travel experience that deeply connects you with Costa Rica’s natural wonders and remote communities.
The community you will live at on the Osa Peninsula is based in a tiny beach village called Ganaldito which has no store, although there are a couple of bar-restaurants. The nearest village, El Progreso, is a pleasant 30-minute walk away and has stores where snacks, drinks and materials can be bought. The main tourist town of Agujitas is an hour’s walk away, but there are often opportunities to visit the town by taxi as part of tours or planned excursions. There are no ATM machines anywhere in Drake Bay, and no post office or large supermarket.
In addition, you’ll engage in meaningful environmental conservation efforts. Collaborating in community work and recycling initiatives, you’ll contribute positively to the local ecosystem. This leg of the trip isn’t just about enjoying the natural beauty and cultural richness of osa peninsula; it’s also about giving back and ensuring that this paradise remains vibrant for generations to come.
Your Ist, 2nd, 5th and 6th week will be spent in Santa Teresa. When not in Santa Teresa you'll travel to nearby turtle sanctuaries, explore the cloud forest in Monteverde, visit an animal sanctuary and discover the wonders of Manuel Antonio before concluding your adventure.
