Sunday Departure

INCLUDED ACTIVITIES

Arrival Day:

Plan your flight to arrive on Sundays and be sure to arrange for Airport pick-up as well. This will allow you ample time to get settled in and to meet everyone.

Your package includes breakfast and lunch

Evenings: Evenings are free to enjoy Habana’s nightlife and restaurants. Dinner is not included.

Your teacher is licensed and on day one you receive a short test to establish your level and objectives.
Lessons take the format of 3 x 45 minute lessons with 15 minute breaks to refresh.

During the 1-hour dance classes, you will be guided through various styles – the lessons primarily focus on Salsa, and based on your progress, you might also delve into Kizomba, Bachata, Reggaeton, Son, Rueda de Casino, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, and Rumba, and perhaps even discover a few new moves you haven’t encountered before! These lessons are conducted by a licensed dance instructor and are conveniently located just a short walk from your Casa. In the evenings, there are numerous free live music venues where you can further practice and hone your skills!

Jump aboard a Wah-Wah (local bendy bus emitting fumes) or a Colectivo (classic car/communal taxi) and hit the streets to uncover the authentic Habana. Gain insight into the daily lives of Habaneros and comprehend the practical challenges that Cubans navigate in this intricate country during this exhilarating period. This experience will even shed light on solutions to our own ‘first-world’ predicaments! We’re embarking on a journey to provide you with a comprehensive grasp of Cuba’s history and the captivating essence of Habana.

Discover the wellspring of its extraordinary opulence, the vibrant mosaic of cultures, marvel at the time-worn charm of Habana’s famed neo-classical architecture, the resonating hum of classic American cars, the intrigue of Soviet-era high-rise structures, the ever-present live music adorning every street corner, the dance, the exotic religions – the list goes on and on. Swiftly, you’ll feel right at home, equipped with the knowledge and assurance to explore the city at your own pace, in the company of newfound fellow travelers and Cuban friends. You’re not just visiting; you’re fully immersed in Cuban culture – so savor the journey!

Life in Havana Vieja is a truly distinctive experience. Don’t worry; it’s not all about life in the city. We’ve got plans to visit some great Caribbean beaches. All the beach trips mentioned in the program are included.

You’ll be accompanied on day trips to the beaches located directly east of Havana. The travel time is a mere 30 minutes by bus, and once there, you can savor the invigorating waves that crash upon these unspoiled sandy shores.

Our program is designed to bring to life, educate, nurture, and foster tourist attractions, interwoven with a delightful blend of Spanish language learning, dancing, and cultural exploration.

We also provide the chance to engage with the community through volunteer work, creating opportunities for interaction with diverse artistic personalities. These interactions create unforgettable moments, where different cultures come together, igniting creativity from an early age.

Explore the nightlife alongside your group and guide. Put your dance steps into practice and hit the dance floor – as we like to say, let loose and swing those dance legs!

NOT INCLUDED ACTIVITIES

Additional Budget Information: Dinners, club entrances, drinks, and museum admissions are not included in the program cost. The most costly among these activities is the night at the Parisien Cabaret, which totals USD 30 and covers dinner and drinks. For other evenings out, setting aside approximately 20 to 30 USD per night should suffice for a reasonable budget.

Made so many awesome friends and the group leaders are amazing as well! Sometimes there were problems but everyone tried their best to fix them asap, really feel like I got my moneys worth! However I would say that it might be nice to be notified in advance about the prices of the activities, because i would have no idea that those would be an extra 350€, so maybe if all the activities were listed somewhere in an email with corresponding prices, people can prepare for that

I think I spend too little time in Santa Teresa. I only went out three times in the whole trip, wish there were more opportunities.
